lines of Leyland Motors, Ltd., will in future have their road-wheel bearings lubricated with a lithium-based grease. An important characteristic of the lubricant is its high drop point of about 300° F., as compared with the 212° F. of the grease previously used.
Lithium-based material should not be mixed with greases of other types: the mixture might result in a lower melting point than either of the constituent greases.
