TWO coach businesses, one in Somerset

and the other in Wiltshire, have changed hands, In Wiltshire, C. H. Thomas, Ltd., Caine, have taken over the business of Mr. W. H. Vaughan, Chippenham, who ran seven vehicles under stage, express, contract and excursion and tour licences.

The business was started 32 years ago by Mr. Vaughan's father. The decision to sell was made because of Mr. Vaughan's ill health. Mr. M. Holmes will continue to run the head office at Chippenham.

In Somerset, Mr. A. A. Woodbury. High Street, Wellington, has also decided to leave the industry because of poor health, although he is to continue as a car hire operator and cycle dealer. His seven coaches, six of them. Bedford Duples, were engaged on stage and express services and excursions and tours.

The new owners are 13owerman's Tours, Ltd., High Street, Taunton, themselves operators of seven coaches. They will continue to employ Mr. Woodbury's five full-time drivers.
