PERTH-based Stagecoach proprietor Brian Souter has quashed rumours that the company was on the brink of collapse.
He said: "We are well aware of the rumours; their source is unknown, but their fabric is nonsense. Stagecoach has absolutely no financial problems. Unlike many big companies, we don't even have major loans.
"Claims that our 100-strong staff hasn't been paid now for weeks are laughable. I'm sure our drivers wouldn't be taking buses on the road if they weren't getting paid."
