THREE new publications on air brake system technology and parts identification are available from Bendix, of Bristol.
The introduction to Air Brakes at E4 per copy explains the operation of a basic air brake system and lists the simple but necessary checks a driver should carry out before proceeding on a journey.
Pneumatics for Road Transport is a comprehensive guide to many aspects of air brake system technology which provides colour system layouts and details on a wide selection of individual Bendix components.
The colour system diagrams are available from Bendix in a 35mm colour transparency format for use as training aids with prices on application. This catalogue costs £7 per copy and is recommended for use with the Introduction to Air Brakes.
The third publication is The Principle Parts Catalogue which
is designed to aid selection of both new spare parts and remanufactured equipment.
