Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DRIVERS at National Carriers have fallen in line with others at the National Freight Corporation by accepting a new £77 basic weekly wage.

The company has reached agreement with the National Union of Railwaymen, and the deal is backdated to January 1.

In addition, there is a flexibility deal, the final details of which had still to be settled as we closed for press on Tuesday. It allows for drivers to load vehicles, and cover each others' delivery rounds.

NFC companies have included such deals in their latest wage rounds as part of a programme to bring efficiency into line with the private sector.
