RUSSELL DAVIES has opened a new five-acre depot at Felixstowe which will incorporate the head office for its general haulage division, embracing its operations at Felixstowe, Manchester and Rugby.
The site is immediately adjacent to the port and has a large area devoted to container storage and container repair facilities. The haulage activities at Ipswich and Southampton are in-house contract operations.
A modern workshop for servicing Davies' 110 tractive units and over 2000 trailers is located at Ipswich.
