A5 WIDENING

As part qf the comprehensive improvement of the A5, a contract for the widening of one and a half miles of it, between Witherley, near Atherstone, and the Royal Red Gate Hotel in Warwickshire, has been let to Broderick and Ryan, Ltd., at £105,823. The new carriageway width will be 33 ft. Work is expected to he completed in about six months. The section now to be improved will link with a proposed by-pass for Atherstone.
