Hertford Supports the Green Line. THE general-purposes committee of

Enfield Urban District Council is supporting Green Line Coaches, Ltd., in regard to its appeal to the Minister against the refusal by the Metropolitan Commissioner to licence its Hertford London coach service. It is claimed that there is no other convenient travel facility between Hertford and the West End of London, and that the railway service is inadequate.

Northern Municipalities Roused. AT a meeting of representatives of 27 local authorities in Newcastle a few days ago a resolution was passed that kcal authorities ought to have at least equal powers with the Traffic Commissioners; and that appeals should be heard by the local authorities.

Blue Belle's Municipal Aid, (JATERHAM Urban District Council has decided to write to the South Eastern Commissioners suggesting that hardship may result from their decision that on the London-East Grinstead coach service of Blue Belle Motors, Ltd., workmen's farts and season tickets must be withdrawn.

Booking Agents' Association Function. TFIKI annual dinner of the Booking Agents' Association of Great Britain, Ltd., was held a few clays ago at the Holborn Restaurant, London, about 150 members and guests attending. Mr. E: F. Bailey; chairman of the association, presided. In responding to the toast of "The Association," Mr. Baileymade reference to the assistance of the trade Press during the past year, particularly thanking The Commercial Motor for its support, incliniing, especially, the agitation against control by Traffic Commissioners of booking agents' commission, which control, of course, iehas, been stopped.
