Range plans to buy a depot in west London to boost its contract hire and short-term light commercial vehicle rental business.
"We see a good future in light commercial vehicles," says chief executive Peter Roberts. "There is demand from major commercial groups down to the butcher and the baker and the market has not been consolidated by any major suppliers."
Its recent purchase of Auto-Rentals from Unigate has given it a further 1,200 vehicles, almost doubling its size.
Auto-Rentals will take over the contract hire side of TLS with TLS exchanging short-term vehicle rental skills.
