Super Cube stepframed semi-trailers with 367 of Van Hool`s latest straight framed Mega trailers.
These are being leased through Transamerica Leasing in a deal believed to be worth some £5.5m. The first prototype was on show this week at the Trailer '93 exhibition at Kortrijki in Belgium.
Van Hool won the order after beating off competition from Boalloy (using a Krone chassis), Crane and Netam Fruehauf, Kassbohrer, Montracon and Schmitz.
The 13.6m 100m trailers run on SAF axles with dual height air suspension. They will be used on high-volume traffic carrying body pressings between Ford's plants in Dagenham, Cologne and Genk.
