Car trailer

HAVING a capacity of 3 tons and known as the Atlantic, a close-coupled fourwheeled trailer has been introduced by Toilbridge Trailers Ltd. which is designed for the transport of large cars. Overall length of the platform sections is 22 ft. while the outside width of the platform area is 6 ft. 4 in. Constructed of rolled and rust-proofed steel, the unit is equipped with linkageoperated drum brakes, a hitch overrun device, steel-slatted loading ramps and carrying platforms and 10-ply 18-7 tyres.

Heavy duty bulbs

TONG-LIFE filaments and filament sup

ports are a feature of a new range of heavy-duty 24V bulbs recently introduced by Osram (GEC) Ltd. specifically for heavy vehicles subject to severe vibration. Three entirely new lamps are included in the range in addition to five improved versions of existing types. Available with outputs of 2.8W to 26W the range covers all normal requirements. In the case of an alternator supplying an increased voltage to the lamps, the filament assembly ensures that lamp life is not reduced.

Tyre protector

ARUBBER-AND-FABRIC interlay is used in the production of P-R tyre protectors offered in 100 sizes by Moplant (Industrial) Ltd., which are claimed to reduce cord bruising, by providing uniform impact loading, in addition to protecting the inner tube against penetration of nails, sharp stones and so on picked up from the road surface. It is pointed out by the makers that a reduction of bruising increases the percentage of covers suitable for remoulding.

DESIGNED to 1111 the heating needs o workshops, or any premises of abou 50,000 cu. ft., Econheater is the latest n be added to the already vast range o heaters introduced by Benjamin Cromacl Ltd.

Claimed to be the most advanced oil fired air heater on the market, 200,001 BTU/HR, it has an average running cost c about a shilling an hour.

As it has twice as many heat outlt gullies as the model it replaces, its hea dispersal is said to be more efficient, ani operating efficiency is held to be more tha: 80 deg. with an air volume of 2,000 Cu. fi per min.

All the mechanism--time clock, startei etc.—is fully enclosed avoiding the poss: bility of accidental damage. There is built-ii protection against all contingencies. Portable conveyor

TO its range of materials handlin equipment, Stratford Auto Flo' Systems Ltd. add a portable telescopin conveyor, designed specifically for the hanc ling of freight when loading or unloadin vehicles, railway containers, etc.

It is versatile, safe and easy to use an results in economy of labour time and cost: The conveyor consists of three 10 ft. length of live-rail sections each 18 in. wide. The are supported on adjustable pipe stand equipped with 5 in. rubber-tyred ba bearing castors. Elevation ranges from 36 in. to 60 in. ; the high end and from 21 in. to 26 in. at th low end, the high end being fitted with a floc lock. It takes but minutes to extend the cot veyor from 11 ft. 10 in. to 29 ft. 6 in., c retract as required. It can be used in a straigl line or angled to 70 deg. left or right, whie makes it ideal when working inside a wage or a warehouse.

The 10 ft. sections consist of four lis rails with a wheel pattern producing 3 wheels per foot length capable of handlir packages 9 in. or over in length, and weighir not more than 60 lb. per foot.
