INTRODUCING its 1967 tours brochure, Southdown Motor Services Ltd. explains that the Government's foreign currency restrictions have obliged it to cut the number of its Continental tours.
But the Northern General Transport Co. Ltd1967 tours brochure describes a "more exciting choice than ever" and its programme includes eight-day air/coach tours to Switzerland and 15-day air and air/coach tours to destinations such as the Adriatic Coast, Greece, Majorca and Yugoslavia.
For its 1967 programme of Beacon-centred tours of Great Britain, which are rather cheaper than the extended tours, Southdown has ordered a fleet of 41-seat Duple Commanderbodied Leyland Leopard coaches.
