['HE bus fleet of Norman Smith, Crrantown, Morayshire, has been acquired by the Statemtrolled Highland Omnibuses Ltd., which will Lite over his services on December 5. They [elude the Grantown-Forres-Nairn-Newtontore services introduced in October last year hen rail facilities in Strathspey were withdrawn. Mr. Smith took over his garage in Grantown in 953 and started a service three years later with ne bus. Today the fleet numbers 18 and services tclude a twice-weekly run between Kingussie rid Fort William, summer tours and buses for tiers.
No one would become redundant as a result r the takeover, Mr. Smith tad COMMERCIAL laroR. Twelve drivers would transfer to the late company.
