iT Belfast Petty Sessions last week the first case to be brought under the Transport Act 966 was heard. An operator was found guilty F licensing breaches. Reginald Sloan, of Belfast, pleaded guilty 1 two charges: that he used on the public ghway to carry merchandise a motor vehicle pr which no licence to do so had been issued; ld that he infringed Section 18 of the Act, hich forbids the use of a licence on a vehicle awhich it was not issued.
He was fined 10 on each count. He told the )urt that the infringements had happened hile he was away from his business on holiday.
