Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AMOBILE crane capable of lifting 25 tons at 10-ft. radius has been introduced into the Coles range by Steels Engineering Products, Ltd., Crown Works, Sunderland. It is made in three types—self-propelled, lorry mounted and for use on rails.

A Coles 6 by 4 chassis is employed in the lorry-mounted version, with an A.E.C. oil engine providing the power for traction; the maximum road speed. is 27:3 m.p.h.

The main gearboxprovides live forward Speeds arid there is a two-speed auxiliary .gearbdx. The specifiCation also includes power-assisted steering and air-pressure braking on all wheels.,

On the .crane itself there ts Perkins 65 b:h.p. oil engine' to drive a generator which provides the power for the: hoist, derrick and slew motors.

The weight of the complete crane can be reduced from 30 tons. to 26 tons by removing a tail weight. This would be necessary ,in those countries where it is not at present legal to operate a vehiele weighing 30 tons on the public highway In the Coles system, separate•electric Motors are used for carrying out the various crane movements and the con trols are of the finger-tip type. All models have a 30-ft. strut jib of lattice construction, which can be extended to a maximum of 80 ft.
