MR. N. P. ANDREW and MR. G. E. SUTER, who have been directors of Dennis Bros., Ltd., since the company's formation, will not seek re-election at the annual general meeting on December 19. Mr. Andrew held tge chairmanship for 32 consecutive years. The services of MR. C. T. SKIPPER have, as reported in The Commercial Motor on November 18, terminated and MR. H. W. DAWES has become solemanaging director. Mr. D. J. GRIMES is chairman. The board of the company will in future number six, compared with 10 at the beginning of last year.

MR. CHARLES J. CALORI has been appointed sales manager of Hardinge Machine Tools, Ltd.

MR. A. J. M. CLARKE has been appointed a special representative of Pirelli, Ltd., to devote his interests to original equipment.

MR. N. C. McninitsoN, manager of the North-Eastern Division of Btitish Road Services since 1948, is relinquishing this appointment because of ill health MR. G. M. PALMER is to join Vauxhall Motors, Ltd., as an assistant chief engineer. He will become one of a small group of senior engineering executives reporting to MR. MAURICE PLA-rr, chief engineer.

of the engineering department. Mr. Starling joined as an apprentice in 1926.

MR. CHARLES DENNY, the driver of an Express Dairy 3,000-gallon tanker, was last week invested with the British Empire Medal for long and meritorious service as a long-distance heavy-vehicle driver. He has worked for the Express Dairy Co. (London). Ltd., for 25 years and has covered over 750,000 miles without an accident.

MR. E. M. C. SHIPP, district superintendent at the Gillingham depot of Maidstone and District Motor Services, Ltd., is to become chief traffic assistant at the company's head office. He will be succeeded at Gillingham by Mg. J. A. H. SNELL, whose position as Sheerness district superintendent will be taken by MR. B. WALMSLEY, of the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co., Ltd. The new tours and express superintendent of Maidstone and District is MR. A. A. DAY.
