A GOVERNMENT and industryhacked scheme aimed at reducing work-related injury rates on UK roads has recommended that fleet managers specify ESC (electronic stability control) on new vehicles. Department for Transport (DIU) research shows that the technology reduces fatal accidents by 25%.

The Driving for Better Business scheme, unveiled by the motor and transport industry safety partnership RoadSafe, is part of a larger Dri' scheme aimed at encouragingemployers to embrace health and safety legislation while driving during working hours.
