• The speed limit for cars and car-derived vans towing trailers or caravans on derestricted dual carriageways and motorways has been increased from 50mph (80krn/h) to 60mph (96Iun/h). This new limit came into force on July 22 and also applies to motor caravans.

The speed limit for non-carderived vans towing a trailer, and for other articulated goods vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes GTW remains unchanged at 60mph (96km/h) on motorways, 50mph (80kin/h) on dual carriageways and 50mph (80Iun/h) on other roads.
