Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

in the Road Traffic Bill I can't believe that we shall now see a British tachograph type approval scheme before the Common Market regulations come into force. Could you tell me where to get hold of the Common Market regulations on this subject?

AThe main legislation is EEC Regulation No 1463/70 as amended by Regulation 1787/63, which can be obtained from HM Stationery Office or any Government Bookshop. It is helpful, too, to have Regulation 543/69 since this sets out the general EEC requirements on driving hours, breaks and so on which are also due to take effect in the UK for domestic journeys at the same time as the first EEC tachograph laws — January 11976.

CM will very shortly be publishing a book on the whole subject of the tachograph requirements, the models available, prices, fitting, servicing obligations and so on. It will be announced in CM as soon as it is ready, but the project was understandably delayed by the uncertainty which was caused when the Conservative Road Traffic Bill was dropped with the dissolution of Parliament.
