Mr T. Lord, directorgeneral of the West Yorkshire PTE, said that there is now a standard pattern of uniform in West Yorkshire, and in the case of genuine Sikhs this included turbans. Sikh busmen in Bradford and Huddersfield like Leeds. are now part of the West Yorkshire PTE — have been allowed for some time to wear turbans.
