ACAR transporter B variation, in respect -of eight vehicles and trailers, plus two rigids, is this week's largest application to be notified. With conditions to enable the carriage of cars "For Ford Motor Co. Ltd. and its dealers ", Sikock and Coiling Ltd., of Dagenham, has made its application to the Metropolitan Authority. Also by way of a B variation, Progressive Deliveries Ltd., of Coventry, has applied to the West Midland Authority to increase its tonnage in respect of 40 transporters from 3061 tons to 3321 tons. All vehicles to be hired is how the application reads.
Further Glacier Foods Ltd. B licence applications are notified in this week's East Midland publication. These, however, are made under the provisions of section 180 of the 1960 Act and, because of this, are not included below. A group of these applications were notified for public inquiry hearing this week at Bristol, and The Commercial Motor understands that, there being no objections, they have been granted by the
Western L.A. sitting in chambers to consider the application.
