MR. H. R. MOORE has resigned his directorship of Wilmot-Breeden (Holdings). Ltd.

19-COACH BUSINESS BUILT UP IN FIVE YEARS

THE coach business of Mr. A. Box, Lower Gormal, near Dudley, Staffs, has been acquired by Hazeldine Hire Services, 3 Walsall Street, Bilston, following the retirement of Mr. Cox because of ill-health.

Five vehicles are engaged on excursions. This acquisition brings the total number of coaches operated by Hazeldine Hire Services to 19.

The firm started as coach proprietors five years ago after nationalization of their haulage business. They have since' acquired the coach business previously operated by Messrs. A. T. Hardwick in Bilston.

COAL AND FLOUR DRIVERS GET HIGHER PAY

lUIEN in the coal distributive trade, 01 who drive lorries weighing over 5 tons, have secured a pay increase of I ls. a week. Drivers of lighter vehicles, together with horse-carmen and other workers, have been awarded 8s. a week. In future, drivers of vehicles of low carrying capacity will come in the "up to 5 tons" category.

Drivers of vehicles weighing over 16 tons gross employed in the flour-milling industry outside London are being paid 16s, a week more. Other increases in this industry are: 8-16 tons, 12s.; up to 8 tons, Its.; mates, other than in C mills, 10s.; mates in C mills, 9s. 6d.
