• Nee° Ford's technician of the year awards go to Tony Ashbridge (parts) and Terry Lee (service). The finals for parts and service technicians were combined for the first time this year.
The 140 finalists at Aviemore, half parts and half service technicians, gained the highest scores over the year-long training courses.
During the finals the service technicians had to identify special tools and spare parts, determine electrical values in a circuit and sort out shims loran overhead cam.
Parts technicians had to identify which vehicle and parts group various spares came from, complete a pricing exercise and trace parts from part numbers.
Terry Lee from Quick of Manchester won the service technician tital for the second year running. He achieved more than 90% of the available points.
Tony Ashbridge from CG Trucks of Carlisle went one better than his runner-up position last year.
