British Rail's consultancy unit Transmark has taken over Transmode Ltd, a specialist consultancy company, from NFC and British Leyland. Transmode has carried out studies in USA and some South American countries with a lot of success.
Its work is largely in the areas of container development studies, distribution planning, shipping and port projects. Transmark's md commented this week: "Transmode will give added impetus to the consultancy services BR can offer to overseas and UK transport authorities."
