Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SOUTH Yorkshire PTE is to take over the Doncaster-based Felix Coaches Ltd in an effort to integrate the passenger transport services in the area.

The news came last week at a meeting of the South Yorkshire County Council when the transport committee chairman Mr Roy Thwaites told the council that there had been a leak of information to the press revealing the £105,000 price that the executive had paid for the company in advance.

Felix Motors run a fleet of 16 vehicles and have routes running from Doncaster to Arm thorpe and Thorne.

The purchase was made and approved amid accusations of undue haste in buying the company to get the purchase within the current financial year. Conservatives made a last-ditch effort to stop the deal but were heavily defeated.

Last year the county council bought the Booth and Fisher company based in Sheffield for £303,000. Mr Thwaites commented : "If to carry out the policy of integration it is necessary to buy out private operators then we shall do so."
