THERMO King—maker of truck refrigerator units—is to set up a £20m plant at Galway, Co Kildare, Republic of Ireland, to supply the European, Middle East and African markets.
• It is taking over 16,000sqm factory which it will extend by a further 6,000sqm. The firm, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Westinghouse Electric Corporation of America, will be making refrigeration and air-conditioning units.
