Reg Foden, 71, joint managing director of Fodens Ltd, retires today after 51 years with the firm. A. Stubbs, chairman of the board, made a presentation to Mr Foden on behalf of heads of departments on Tuesday. Mr Foden was appointed a director with the company in 1951, and became one of three joint managing directors in 1964 on the death of Mr William Foden, the then managing director.

P. D. Daykin, 40, took up his new post yesterday as traffic manager with West Yorkshire Road Car Co Ltd. He joined West Riding Automobile Co Ltd in 1969 as traffic manager and has previously served with transport departments at Nottingham, Bournemouth, Middlesbrough, Preston. Eastboume and Leicester.

C. W. Sampson, who becomes transport manager of Gelligaer UDC on Monday, is senior traffic assistant with Cardiff Corporation Transport and not Gelligaer as stated last week.
