Tyre Remoulding and Servicing Equipment Exhibition
N exhibition devoted solely to plant and accessories used PA in the tyre remoulding and servicing industries is to be sponsored by the Grantham Rubber Machinery Co. Ltd. Threadlocking Materials ANEW range of fast-curing Locate threadlocking materials is announced by Douglas Kane (Sealants) Ltd. These are Loctite Nut Lock. Loctite Stud Lock and Loctite Screw Lock. At the same time the company is instituting a new pricing policy which, it is claimed, will result in lower prices for certain products.
Loctite Nut Lock is blue in colour and is recommended for use on nuts and bolts which need locking against vibration, It has a high break-loose torque. but nuts can be removed with ordinary tools without difficulty. Loctite Stud Lock is a red material primarily intended to retain studs permanently in housings to make sure they will not unscrew with the nut. It also enables Class 5 interference fit studs to be replaced by ordinary Class 2 driving fit studs, so eliminating risk of stressing housings. In service work Stud Lock is useful in that it can fill gaps of from 0-001 in, to 0-005 in. on worn or badly cut threads. Loctite Screw -Lock is purple and secures set screws, grub screws, and threaded adjusting screws. It eliminates the need for locking wires and drilled bolt heads, tab washers or other forms of locking device.
