SELLING prices of the various models in the new Ford D range were issued this week by the Ford Motor Co. Because of the wide variety of options offered it is impractical to publish the complete list, but examples are as follows: The prices quoted are for chassis/cab only in the shortest wheelbase of 10 ft., except in the case of the two six-wheelers, where the wheelbase is 11 ft. 6 in. for the fourspring model and 12 ft. 2 in. for the twospring. In all cases the engine is the diesel. On otherwise comparable models the chassis price is £100 less with the 240 cu. in. petrol instead of the 240 Cu. in. diesel, or the 300 cu. in. petrol in place of the 330 cu. in, diesel. When the 300 Cu. in. petrol is specified in place of the 360 Cu. in. diesel the retail price is either £250 or £260 lower, depending on the particular model. As well as the 10 ft, wheelbase, models are available with lift. 2in., 13 ft., 15 ft. 2 in. and 17 ft. 2 in. The particular wheelbase options vary with the models, and the price of the 10 ft. is increased by £15, £30, £80 or £90 respectively where the longer wheelbases are called for.

The prices quoted by Ford for standard bodies are £115, £120, £135 and £155 for the 14 ft., 16 ft., 18 ft. 6 in. and 21 ft. 6 in. versions respectively. The Custom cab costs £40 extra and typical prices of dropside tipper bodies are £270 for the 6 cu. yd. and £290 for the 7 cu. yd.
