Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AT the same time as the introduction of the D Series (see pages 79-84) the Ford Motor Co. has made changes in its normal-control range, which will now be known as the Ford K Series. A number of D Series components are used; including vertical versions of the diesel engines used in the D. There is also a new model— the K.600 6-tormer—and two models of a new tipper chassis.

The K.600 is a straight-frame model available in wheelbases of 14 ft. 2in. and 15 ft. 4 in. and is offered with the 330 cu. in. diesel engine or 300 cu. in. petrol' as used in the D Series. This is the first time that Ford has offered a normal-control 6-tonner, this range now extending from the K.150 1.5-tonner to the K.700 7-tonner.

The new tippers have the 330 Cu. in. diesel engine or the 300 cu. in. petrol engine as standard equipment, but the 360 cu. in. diesel is optional on a heavy-duty model. This has a gross weight rating of 25,5001h. (11.4 tons), the other model having a g.v.w. maximum of 23,000 lb. (10-3 tons). The wheelbase of both is 12 ft. 7 in.

Features of the D Series now incorporated in the K range include printed-circuit instrumentation, improved PVC seat trim, a 38 amp. alternator and combined rear light and flashing indicator units.

Ford has also made a change to the Clearway, this now being called the Ford M Series (Clearway), and the 240 cu. in. diesel is included in the specifications.
