Bale’s career started in the late 1960s, when he was a driver for Michael Harrison, who was later to form the business known as Haul Waste. It was not too long, however, before Bale and his wife decided to go it alone. With a partner, they established their own company using an assortment of new and used equipment. The business grew rapidly and was later acquired by Haul Waste. But although this seemed to be the right move at the time, it wasn’t long before the Bales were back again, now armed with a useful collection of industry contacts and a comprehensive knowledge of road transport and waste management. This has resulted in the company winning several prestigious contracts over the years.
