by 15% to £203.1m and its pre-tax profits by 11% to £12.6m. This was largely off the back of the Silcock car distribution and inspection service and rapid growth in its overseas business, Tibbett & Britten International. Silcock's sales rose 35% to £64.5m with operating profits up 37.5% to £5.5m. Analysts describe Tibbett & Britten International's growth as "explosive", and predict that turnover will reach £85m this year. But the cost of acquisitions will hold profits back for two years.
