NO ANTIPATHY exists between the Bus and Coach Council and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders over the SMMT's publicity campaign launched last week.
Although the BCC is not among the organistions publicly backing the campaign (see p31, BCC director-general Denis Quin told CM that there is a longstanding cordial relationship between the two organisations.
It had seen no particular benefit in being on the advisory council to organise the SIVIMT campaign. "There would have been a real danger that the BCC would go one way with our campaign expenditure and they another, We have stayed in our own camp."
