EATON TRUCK Components new heavy truck semi-automatic twin-splitter transmission will become available by mid1986.
It is based on the conven. tional Fuller design.
The semi-automatic unit will provide clutchless shifting on throttle lift-off with gear preselection obtained using an electronic controlled gearstick.
Eaton's fully automated transmission, based on a conventional Eaton/Fuller manual unit, will be marketed in 1988. It adopts a dry clutch, but has twopedal transmission.
