The new assistant manager at the Manchester office of Anchor Euro Transport Ltd is Allen Fowler. He comes to Anchor with experience of both sides of the haulage industry, gained at DFDS, G. C. Morley and Kiihne & Nagel.
John Fisher, currently general manager of National Travel (East) Ltd, will control all NBC's coaching subsidiary scheduled operations in the North of England when he assumes the additional responsibility of National Travel (West) Ltd. Mr Fisher is a member of the Institute of Traffic Administration and a -board member of National Travel (East) Ltd. He will manage both companies from the firm's offices in Liversedge, West Yorkshire.
Frank Wilby has joined the Marshall Group of Bulwell, Nottingham as distribution manager. The move brings him into the haulage industry from a similar position with a food manufacturing company. Distribution operations within the Marshall Group are expanding, and swap-body vehicles have been introduced to improve turnround.
Clive Short has moved internally within the Group to become commercial executive with responsibility for customer liaison. One of Mr Short's particular tasks will be to develop traffic and services to Northern Ireland. Liddle Watson has taken over as divisional manager (Wirral) with Merseyside Passenger Transport Executive. He will control the 240-bus fleet, reporting directly to Gwyn Thomas, MPTE's director of service operations, who was divisional manager in the Wirral before Mr Watson. Patricia Collins has joiner Camel Freight Ltd's sales tearr as Midlands representative with a wide knowledge of loca conditions in the Middle East She has 10 years' experience ol freight management in boa manufacturing and forwar ding.
