Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CRANE Fruehauf Ltd is to produce a simple-to-maintain alternative to the corrugatedsteel or aluminium-clad ISO containers.

Plastisol, a leathergrained white plastic material has been applied to coat galvanised steel panels used in a riveted construction. This type of covering which has an estimated 10-12 year life, is said to be an improvement over the shot-blast and painting methods of protection against corrosion.

A riveted construction allows on-the-spot repairs to be made if the container is damaged in transit, without the need for specialised shot blasting and welding equipment. The tare weight for a typical 6.1m x 2.4m x 2.6m (20ft x Mt x 8ft 6in) module is given as 2,070kg (2ton Ocwt 3qr) for dry cargo, 2,262kg (2ton 4cwt 2qr) for integral and 2,652kg (2 ton 12cwt kir) for the porthole insulated version.

Cubic capacity is also increased with this design. Other new modules include a steel/ grp dry cargo box rated at 24 tonnes gross with an internal cube of 32.7mm (1,168cuft).

Grp/plywood containers, previously only made to order, will now form part of the standard range. Other existing steel-framed aluminium porthole insulated designs have been changed to give a choice of an improved specification or a lower-cost alternative.
