CURRENT NUR-BR disputes were a \-• pointer to the dangers of putting one's shirt on the railways as long-distance carriers: this was the theme of a speech by Mr. Norman Ingram (a past national chairman of the RHA) in Exeter on Friday.
Mr. Ingram, of W. R. Ingram Ltd., Birmingham, was speaking at the annual dinner of the Exeter sub-area of the Road Haulage Association.
He felt that the events of the past few days would have been worth while if at least they prevented the Minister of Transport from committing a monumental blunder.
