Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by David Craik • Hauliers are warned that the traditional pre-Christmas lorry-hijacking period has begun after a load worth £500,000 was stolen from a Nightspeed vehicle. leaving its 54-year-old driver suffering from extreme shock and bruising.

The unnamed driver left Nightspeed's Feltham depot on 15 October at midnight, and had pulled up at a traffic junction when the incident happened. Several people, say Hounslow police, opened the door to the cab, pulled the driver out and bundled him into the boot of their vehicle. The victim was driven for around 30 minutes before being taken out to help the hijackers operate the lift on the rear of his lorry.

A police spokesman says it then took a further four hours for the load, consisting of personal computers, watches, fashion clothing and telephones, to be put in the hijackers' vehicle.

The lorry was abandoned and the driver dumped by the side of a road in West Drayton at 05:30hrs the next morning.

The vehicle, a white heavy tractor articulated lorry is still being sought by police, along with information about the hijack. The vehicle's registration number is P21 .IBA.
