• Tate and Lyle Sugars has ordered 15 tankers fitted with Encrypta Electronics seals. The system uses concealed pneumatic bolts, operated by one handle protected by a Crypta 111 system. Crypta 111 uses electronic random combination locks and automatically records the time and date of each opening and closing.
Christmas rush
• P&O Distribution has purchased 35 new tractive units and rented a further 30 in response to increased demand for container haulage in the run-up to Christmas. The Volvo, MAN, ERF, Leyland Daf and Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be based at P&O depots around the country.
Vehicle use
