in troduction to our story last week headed "King Coal on the Road" was incorrect in suggesting that it is to transfer all of its traffic from rail to road.
It says that 75% of all South Wales coal distribution to customers is by rail, and British Coal has no intention of changing this policy.
The correct position, (as reported in CM 15-21 October), is that BRS has taken over BC's fleet of trucks which is now being operated under contract. There has been no increase in the nuts her of vehicles used by BC, and no transfer of coal from rail to road as a result_
