Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

fuel economy of today's modern buses and coaches (DennisJavelin 11.9mpg (23.71/ 100Icm) for example). I looked back to the middle of the 1950s to the early 1960's to the little 35-seater lightweight Bristol LC in stage carriage and coach form. It returned anything from 20mpg (14.11/100Iun) on Norwich City services and 30mpg (9.41/110Icm) on Norfolk county routes for Eastern Counties Omnibus Company.

Fitted with Gardner 4LK engine, David Brown five-speed gearbox and Kirkstall axles, the vehicle was easy to maintain and cheap to run. It was a bit noisy and the engine "cackerly" by modern standards. But surely there must be a market for a similar vehicle today?
