REEVE BURGESS LTD has introduced its Burcran range of pressure/vacuum tankers to complement its existing range of specialist vehicles for local authorities.

The Trent Water Authority has already taken delivery of one example of the range, a 5,450 litre (1,200 gal) vacuum type cesspit emptier which is mounted on a skid frame.

Designed for use in con junction with a Shepperd Meiller model 10000 Mk III skid loader the tank is made from 6mm (0.25in) mild steel plate and is cylindrical in cross section with dished ends.

All joints are electrically welded. To prevent the tank's contents from reaching the air pump, two cut out devices, on external and one internal, ar fitted as well as a pressure, vacuum gauge, relief valv and visual contents indicato The mounting bearers an skid unit are welded to th tank barrel to form an integn unit.
