1--X A SPECIAL study group is being

organized by the Road Haulage Association, Eastern area, to visit Rotterdam on November 4-5 to discuss with Dutch hauliers the possibility of inter-change of traffic and to study transport installations and depots in the Rotterdam dock area.

The party will assemble at Felixstowe dock and sail to Rotterdam at 10 p.m,, returning by Antwerp to Tilbury on the night of November 5. For both the outward and the return sea-crossing the party will be the guests of the Transport Ferry Service.

On November 4 an extensive programme has been organized by the

Royal Dutch road haulage association (KNVTO) which will include a trip round the Europort. lunch as guests of the KNVTO, a visit to the warehousing and unloading installations of Thomsens. an inspection of the smalls depot of Van Gend en Loos and a visit to Rotterdam North marshalling yard and the Spanish Polder depot to see the loading, unloading and marshalling of Kangaroo road/ rail traffic.

After an early dinner in the evening there will be a special discussion group to study in detail the commercial possibilities for reciprocal traffic between East Anglian hauliers and their colleagues in the Netherlands.
