WHILST Thomas Harrington Ltd. is V V suspending the construction of luxury passenger vehicle bodywork ("The Commercial Motor", October 8), it is understood that Harrington Motors (proprietors Thos. Harrington Ltd.) intend to commence the manufacture of truck bodies.

Flarringtons, it will be recalled, intend to concentrate on the sales and servicing of cars and commercial vehicles. The company is a main dealer for Rootes products. GOING DOWN LAST week's publication of "Statistics" by the British Railways Board shows a further decline in freight train traffic. The aggregate for this group for 36 weeks of 1965 was down by 900,000 tons (2-9 per cent).

For the same group the average length of haul has increased by 1.9 per cent to 115-71 miles.
