PALL-EX’S larger than life (in the media rather than physical sense) chief executive Hilary Devey once again rallied the troops last weekend at the pallet network’s glittering annual awards, held at the sumptuous Celtic Manor resort in south Wales. Far from forgetting her roots, Devey told the assembled members that everything she does, she does for Pall-Ex, using her burgeoning media career to promote the network, not herself. Only slightly tongue in cheek, she reminded her audience who had struggled through the floods that she really could “walk on water”, and that after setting up networks across Europe, Pall-Ex would go on to “take on the world”.
For the record, members voted Cartwright Bros (Haulage) as the 2012 Depot of the Year.
