Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

in an entry to the "Routemaster" competition (CM 15-21 November) specifying that the manufacturer of the first bus on the road was AEC of Park Royal, London; its first route the No 2 which went from Victoria to Golders Green; and the year 1954.

No doubting your facts, Mr West, but what I'm looking for is not the first Routemaster, but the first bus ever. The Hawk's contests are never easy! Nonetheless the Routemaster yarn is a good one, so a set of bumper stickers is coming your way, Mr West. • Cecil Parkinson seems to have gone to great lengths to prove that ministers of the Crown never put their own constituency interests before the greater good of the country.
