• The Polymasker, a computer controlled cutting and drafting machine from Folex, has been intrumental in the formation of Stylistic Graphics Auto, of Great Ilaseley, Oxford, which designs and manufactures self-adhesive graphics for vehicle fleets, even racing cars, and exhibition stands. The polymasker system is formed around a Hewlett-Packard computer. Information is input via a digitiser table from either finished artwork or roughs with detailed co-ordinates.
Stylistic sales director Stephen Jacques says: "With Polymasker we can produce extremely professional graphics without the usual long-run limitations being imposed by cost. We can for instance 'signup' vehicle fleets with limited period special offer signs at an economical price. We can also create a complete image with Polymasker. This is made possible because the machine can reproduce a stored logo to virtually any size or shape, so we can improve an entire business from the graphics on its vehicle fleet to the sign on its front door."
