• Viso, an international group of companies originally founded in New Jersey in the United States, manufactures a range of lubricating equipment systems in Malmo, Sweden. It also has operations in Singapore, Saudi Arabia and Japan, and in the UK is newly established with a base at London House, 26 Kensington High Street, London W8 4PF.
Sales and marketing manager John Wheeler, recruited from Yorkpack, is setting up a network of distributors throughout Britain. The managing director of the UP operanon is Swedish businessman Gus Gustafasson, who is also chief executive of the company worldwide.
All exports of equipment into Europe will be handled from the London office. The equipment carries a two-year guarantee, including a next-day replacement delivery service.
Viso acquired its Swedish manufacturing company five years ago. Its lube range was developed primarily to reduce grease wastage and improve efficiency.
A new automatic airoperated grease pump is among the range; it can be psed with any type of grease and is adpatable to fit any size of barrel. With its 70:1 or 50:1 air motor, it works on both low air pressure and low air consumption.
The pump is mounted on an easy to assemble diaphragm grease cover and is attached to the grease, barrel to ensure maximum use of the grease. The cover is made of steel with a bonded rubber outer edge. The grease is applied through a control valve pistol, attached to hose; the pistol has a universal swivel joint and a safety lock.
