Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Enco Express, the Scottish-based equipment supplier, demonstrated for the first time at the Motor Show the new Enco electronic brake fluid tester, invented, designed and manufactured in Britain.

Ronald Ross-Watt, Enco marketing and technical director, said: "Brake fluid is hydr oscopic which means it absorbs moisture. Some brake fluids absorb moisture a lot quicker than others so that the age of the fluid alone is not a sufficient indication of its condition.

"Brake fluid itself has a very high boiling point, but when contaminated with moisture this boiling point is dramatically reduced and brake failure can easily occur."

Costing 298 plus VAT, the Enco tester measures water content of fluid in just a few seconds and displays the results by using a series of lights, each with its own instructions, such as: "Change fluid now!"

Enco claims that it is ideal for fast-fit depots and has obvious safety benefits for older or high mileage vehicles.
