Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SCOTLAND: M8. At Strathclyde, the westbound carriageway is closed west of junction 29 (St James Interchange, Paisley). Delays are probable. It should also be noted that on the westbound side junctions 8 to 12 have been re-numbered to read 27 to 31.

M8. As a result of accident damage, the outside lanes of the northbound and southbound carriageways are closed on the southern approach to Kingston Bridge.

Northern England: M63. Take extra care when travelling on this route near Cheadle and Stockport, in the Greater Manchester area. As construction work continues, heavy lorry and plant movement is much in evidence and drivers should look out for temporary signs.

Midlands. In Staffordshire, all traffic on the northbound carriageway will be restricted to one lane due to repairs at three sites between junctions 14 (A34 Eccleshall) and 15 (A5006 Newcastle Under Lyme/Stoke, south). Delays are inevitable and drivers are advised to leave the M6 at junction 14, to use the A34, and then to rejoin the M6 at junction 15.

Wales and the West: M4. There are various lane closures on both carriageways between the Newport exits (junctions 25 and 26).

South-east England: Ml. There is extensive coning and lane closures on both carriageways between junction 13 (the Bedford exit) and the Northamptonshire boundary, Particular care is required and delays are likely for southbound drivers. M10. The northbound carriageway in Hertfordshire is now completely free after repair works last week.

M4. At the Membury service area, the restaurant on the London-bound carriageway is closed for the next six months. All other facilities are still available, however, and the footbridge can be used to reach the restaurant on the westbound side.

M26. This new road, linking the M20 and the M25 between Wrotham and Dunton Green, was opened over a week ago. There are no sliproads westbound, until the Godstone exit and, in addition, the Sevenoaks interchange (M25/M26/A21) is a restricted access junction. This means that at the moment it is impossible to join the M26 to head eastbound from the A21, or to leave the M26 when travelling west to join the A21.

Al. Reconstruction work on the Rowley Lane flyover on the Barnet by-pass will mean occasional closures of one or both carriageways between now and March, mostly at weekends.

A2. There are extensive delays on both carriageways near the Dartford Tunnel/Swanley (M25) exit of the motorway due to repair works. Delays will continue until December 22.

Ireland. Major roadworks at Bachelor's Walk, Dublin, have started and will result in diversions for the next nine months. At least one lane of traffic is in operation at all times at Bachelor's Walk and Ormond Quay, and the normal direction of traffic flow has been reversed on Liffey Street Lower.
